Poop and Pee (Yes, you read right!)

Well, the honeymoon is so over it's not even funny. No, I'm not talking about with my husband...I'm talking about our dog, Lilie.

It appears little Miss Lilie has overstayed her welcome. We are actively looking for a home...preferably, one with out kids. Lilie is a sweet, adorable little dog. But, she has one big flaw... she doesn't have once once of interest in my children!

The twins have begged, almost since birth, for a dog. We were so sure and confident that Lilie was the dog for us. We really wanted our little one to feel loved. We spared no expense on her bed, food, clothes (yes, clothes), shots and treats. Sadly, she can not stand the twins. She wants absolutely nothing to do with them. When she does interact with them she makes sure they realize "she" is the alpha dog by nipping at their heels and barking. She loves me and she loves my husband. She will sit quietly, snuggle and follow us around all day. It is a big No Way if Rylan and Skylar try and get in on the love.

This sweet little dog has been a bone of contention (no pun intended) for my husband and myself. I have tried to postpone having to get rid of her in the hopes that she'll fall in love with our daughters. He thinks I am just being too easy and not wanting to make the tough decision (He may be right, but shh! Don't you dare tell him!)

One weekday morning after an argument, uh conversation, about getting rid of Lilie I walked downstairs to find that Lilie had left me a little "gift" that morning! Oh yeah! Needless to say this little present took me over my "ticked-off" limit and I was happily grumbling under my breath.

Now....as you may know once you get a woman grumbling...well, the topics will vary from the dog to the house to the husband and back again. I was working myself up. I was so glad, at that moment, that my husband was at work.

I didn't realize that Rylan was standing in the hallway as I was grumbling about having to pick up poop and pee. She interrupted my thoughts when she asked me: "Why poop and pee, mama?"

"What"
I replied

"Why is it poop and pee?" "Why both? I only see poop."

"Because it there is one, there has to be the other. Poop and pee go together"
I explained.

"Oh, like husbands and wives!"
She remarked gleefully.

Oh! Snap! She was right on. On more levels that I wanted to admit. I laughed till my sides hurt. I laughed even harder when I saw the bewildered look on her face.

My grumpy mood left like a ... (oh heck, I haven't a clue "what" it left like...) but I did call my husband and he laughed as hard as I did. It was exactly the laugh we needed.

Oh, and by the way...anyone want a dog?

I Am In Love...

With a broom. Yes, you read it right. I am madly and deeply in love with my new friend.

It is a Dirt Devil Cordless Broom Vacuum!! Oh, I am so in love with this thing...I just can’t stop smiling!

You know when I was a young bride...I never, ever in my wildest dreams thought that I’d ever get excited about any kitchen appliances. I remember strictly warning my “new” husband that there would be consequences if he even considered buying me a kitchen or household appliance as a gift.

Well...I still do not want him buying me any type of household or appliance as a gift. Sheesh, that’s what jewelry is for.....BUT...I can buy my own and I am so, so happy that I did.

My niece told me about this incredible product a few weeks ago. I didn’t get too excited because they cost in the price range of $60 - $70 dollars. I thought that was a bit much for a “broom”. It did not cross my mind to look for one because I knew that I was not going to pay that kind of money for a broom.

When I went to visit my second home, um...I mean, Target....I noticed they had one in the clearance section marked down to $17.99! Whoa, from $69.99 to $17.99! I thought maybe there was something wrong with it since the box was opened but when I looked further in that aisle they had a whole bunch of them....all for only $17.99!!!

So I snatched one up and rushed home to plug it in. It works like a dream! We have birds and there is always birdseed on my floor....not right now. Even the twins wanted to sweep.

The only drawback is that it is bit heavy in comparison to a regular broom. But well, just figure you’ll have nicely shaped arms by summer time!

I am just giddy with excitement! I checked Target.com for you and they do have them but they are not on clearance....go figure. So, swing by your local Target and let me know if you find one too!

I’ve got to go run and sweep..... (uh, did I say that?)

Great Sites? LMK!!!

I spent most of Monday morning searching for websites that would be beneficial to you. As parents and as women. I didn't intend to overlook the men but I figured that most of my readers were women so I searched for sites that would have an interest to women.

I managed to find some fun sites on fashion, a couple of great sites from pastors and a site I never really heard of before...but it seemed interesting enough...so I added it.

I want to hear what sites you love. What do you have bookmarked and what do you go back to over and over?

Help me to make the IE Mommy a blog that has a wide selection of resources for you! If you post a blog or have a friend or family member that posts a blog...give them a shout out here.

Please make sure that all sites are family friendly and G-rated! Our goal at the IE Mommy is to always glorify God in our journey to becoming better moms, wives and women!

Can't wait to see what you'll come up with!
